I would like the ability in the quick record section of the sequencer to record additional 'keyboard sets' when creating a midi song with an edit function so that once you have played your main part with the first 'keyboard set' you can select the next one.
At the moment the work around is going to sequencer mode and having to select a sound and copy the effects using multitrack recording

I would like to see a better solution to my message subject:
Damper/Sustain When Changing Voices During Play
You should be able to hold down the sustain/damper pedal and keep the current voice in sustain while you change voices (by muting one and unmuting another); or when changing to a new keyboard set. You should not be forced to write a drum break for every song when you want to change a voice in order to press buttons during play. I've tried placing a different sound into the same voice location (i.e. upper1) on different keyboard sets and that works to a degree as the sound won't change until you lift the pedal, but if the volumes are different, you will hear an immediate rise or lowering of volume when you press the new Kbd setting. My feeling is that the original voice (at its original volume setting) that was played during a sustain should remain in control until the damper pedal is released. It's difficult to imagine any situation where this should not be the case. At least give us a setting where we can control this.

What i would love to see on pa4x are: Style recommender like some Yamaha E.Pianos have .With that feature you play a pattern and it automatically finds suitable styles.
Another great tool also is smart chord feature, where it fills the chords for you.
Theese features are easy to add in Os i believe.
But what is really needed on an instrument like pa4x ,is a Daw ' like edditing style environment, not this crapy event editor, that would make everyone's life easier i believe...

Why even ask for this, this is a hardware feature.... this cant be done trough software.... the point of this post is improving the current pa4x trough software patches.miden wrote:Yeah I agree, also tight for finger tips too haha!karmathanever wrote:Like Kronos?Display resolution is 800x480 instead of current 320x240

Hi Friends:
An usefull upgrade on SO will be adding a function for pads, that let them act as pads on Oasys / M3, in the way that when you press button pad shot a complex chord while is pressed and stops when you lift it.- If this is not possible, perform and upgrade that let use (as in Kronos) the keypad to shot complex chords.-
I'm desagree with encreasing screen resolution.- I have both PA4x and Kronos, and screen in Kronos because of it's high resolution difficult reading small letters, specially on Sets.-
With regards, and whishing Merry Crhistmas for all members.

korg pa4x display - hardware 800x480
In normal mode: 320x240
In Update and Service mode: 800x480
Try it and see
Otherwise, the same thing is: pa600, pa900, pa3xle, pa700, pa1000
Very few of us know how to get into service mode, and I didn't notice a difference in update mode (which I did quite a while ago, and don't want to do again until there is another update). But a selectable screen resolution option would be nice. So are you saying the actual hardware screen resolution is 800x480 and that they reduced the resolution for what they have as the units default screen?

display resolution
The quality of the resolution is clearly visible in the standard and service modes.

EC5 request for future update.
Can I add my vote for moving the EC5 settings from Global to Songbook. Only having 5 switches for the whole of a night’s entertainment makes the pedals only partly usable. BUT, I would like to go one further, and also add to the list of settings, a special ‘Multi’ option, which allows you to assign a string of buttons, possibly by holding the ‘shift key’. E.g. hold the shift key, whilst pressing fill3, then kbset4, then transpose+. All these would then occur with the single press of a pedal. This type of sequence is commonly used for the last verse of a song, and to do it live, without hitting a wrong button, can be challenging.
