Korg MS-20 Mini with SQ-1 wont record into Ableton

Hello,

So I am new to this forum and also new to analog gear. I picked up a used MS-20 a month or so ago and have been playing with it while I learn synthesis. I have finally gotten comfortable with programming it and bought the SQ-1

I have midi running to both from Ableton and I have set up an external instrument with the MS-20

When playing I can get the sound through into ableton just fine but when I hit record nothing is recording for play back.

This is probably a noob question but I have exhausted the google and cant seem to figure this out. PLEASE HELP!
