Is the Pa4x an Arranger or Workstation?
If only an Arranger then why do the refer to it as a Arranger Workstation?
If both then how does this workstation compare to other workstations like the Kronos?
Is both then what benefits does this have over a Kronos which is considered as only a workstation?
I have both the Pa4x and kronos. If one substitutes for the other then id like to give one away. I mainly want to use both for music production. Shall i use both for different purposes or one that substitutes for another?

Hi dhyan, your question is very interesting! Of course there are differences between Kronos and Pa4x. In the Kronos you have very important functions such as: a powerful 16-track MIDI sequencer + 16 AUDIO tracks, keeping in mind that you can add external voices and / or instruments to your MIDI sequence through your 16-channel AUDIO recorder. has more memory capacity to create your own samples, has programmed phrases or patterns, NO Styles (you can also create yours) function KARMA, Nine sound engines to create unlimited combinations of musical environments (Orchestral, Ethnic, Ethereal, Dance, Film and show) having said is it the Kronos is designed to work more in study than in concerts therefore it is a MUSICAL WORKSTATION.
As for the Pa4x, I would say that it is an excellent keyboard of arrangements, why arrangements? because it already comes with a lot of styles that already bring instrumental arrangements of all the musical genres of the world, ready to be used in a concert, this saves you a lot of time when creating a MIDI sequence, because you can adapt the style in question to the a song that you want. You can also create and edit your own samples, but the memory is much smaller than that of Kronos. brings dual sequencer, MIDI and Mp3 recorder player unlike the Kronos MIDI and AUDIO WAV, the Pa4x does not have a 16-track WAV recorder, but you can record your midi sequence along with your voice using the vocal harmonizer and pads all in Mp3 format. Having said that, the Pa4x is designed to work more in concerts than in studio. It is a MUSIC ARRANGER WORKSTATION.I hope this helps a bit. It's just my humble opinion. greetings Hans

I forgot to tell you, that you can work with your two keyboards since each one has its own charm, and you can configure them for live performances. but if you want to give one of the two keyboards, I would be happy to receive it, because I have my Yamaha S970 and I want to complement it with the Pa4X or the Kronos. greetings Hans
