Midi not showing in Windows 7

so, i've tried the following

1. reboot PC
2. download driver tools for the korg krome driver via support for Win 64 bit
3. ran the install "admin" mode
4. install was sucessfull
5. connected up krome, popup came hit install, same install success!
6. looking in device manager under sound controllers etc and the krome is there
7. I use the "CONFIGURE KORG MIDI DRIVER" app to check, yes KROME #1
is showing
8. load 3 different DAWS cubase, ableton and fruity loops and the midi devices are not there, I even check in the preferences to make sure they are enabled but they are not even showing so can't even enable them


anyone know why on earth this may be happening?

I also have a thread going on the Korg Krome VIP facebook group if you want to reply there I may get a quicker notification. thanks in advance.

in the meantime im going to try another USB cable just in case.
