No sounds Bellow C2 in piano patches. Help pls!!!
Hello everyone.
I just got my Korg kronos Ls today and i was enjoying browsing sounds until i noticed that some piano sounds had no sound bellow C2 witch i think is strange in 88 keys . This only occurs in some piano patches and if i transpose the layer/layers +12 than it sounds in every key as it should. Its almost like this patches came wrongly transposed. Has anyone encountered a similar issue. I'm thinking of restoring the keyboard from the DVD´s, can anyone advise on this matter.
Thank you.

Hi. Its a new Kronos Ls, it happens in some Program Pianos not all of them, checking the Keyzones was one of the first things i did all C-1 bottom. Although i realized that the pianos sounded lowered one octave then i transposed the ex +12 and every key has sound in the correct octaves. Its seems really strange for the factory to be corrupted in some way..GregC wrote:LS new ? Or used/refurb ?
What mode ?
Lets say you are in Program
What piano (AP) Program ?
Lets try German Grand Program
Press Common tab
Look at Key Zone section
Bottom= C-1
If it doesn't, or says C2, somebody over wrote the factory setting

Doing +12 in the Program is not normal to fix your missing LS key rangeRskeys wrote:Hi. I agree, this is strange behavior for a factory new LS/Kronos.
I would be inclined to exchange it . The factory programming should be perfect.
No sounds Bellow C2 in piano patches. Help pls!!!
The Following programs are affected:
INT-A
008-Against all Odds Piano
011-Faithfully Piano
012-Leave your at on Piano
013-Saturdayinthepark Piano
020-Dontstopbelievin Piano
021-Head over Heals Piano
None of them sound bellow C2 however transposing the exi +12 solves the problem.
I have already checked the entire Kronos program library and this are the only patches affected.

That means they are programmed that way. Than its fine.SLR wrote:I've just checked those porgrams and mine are the same on my Kronos 2 88.
However, on mine it's a couple of notes or so lower, depending on the program. A couple of the programs do sound, but extremely quiet on high volume. I'm guessing it's normal.
Thanks for the help.

They are all using sgx pianos and are transposed down an octave. The sgx samples are note for note and only the 88 keys, so if transposed from keyboard centre they go out of range, whereas as the HD1 pianos are samples which can be divided and stretched beyond their root samples. Mine all do the same.
I understand it, i just find it strange that it comes transposed one octave above in these patches, i honestly thought there was a problem with my library. That being said all is clarified.DeltaJockey wrote:They are all using sgx pianos and are transposed down an octave. Now this makes sense. Nothing wrong with your LS.Rskeys wrote:The Following programs are affected:

The Programs you listed are 'pop ' songs and were authored/factory programmed on 76 keys.
