Just an answer before buying PA500/588 please!

Can PA500/588 insert MIDI files into the SSD memory from a SD or MMC card please?

No - SSD contains folders (Global, Pad, Performance, Songbook, Sound, Style) with factory and user-data, but no SMFs.
