Format of sounds in Korg PA series

Post by shahid-djazz »

Hi there.

can anyone tell me whats the format (or file extension) of PA series sounds? Can we convert sf2 sounds into PA series sound format?

Thanks in advance.

File extension is PCG. From sf2-files its WAVs can easily be extracted (decompiled) to be used for Pa-Multisamples (filetype KMP).

Pa-keyboards equipped with sample editor are used to import WAVs to build Multisamples (filetype KMP), that are used with sound editor to build Pa-sounds and DKs (Filetype PCG).

Pa700/1000/4x can import multisamples from sf2-files directly, without extracting WAVs before.
kind regards
