I noticed that if you convert the samples bank to program, those with loop engaged sustains infinitely as you hold the keys. This allows us to upload some custom .wav files and create more realistic sample based instruments inside the expansion PCM memory. I already created a realistic choir but until today it was a single shot with 6 seconds long samples. BUT if you edit your samples inside the onboard sampler waveform editor and engage loop those samples will sustain as long as you press the keyboard. So this allows for an efficient use of the memory just uploading short samples and letting the engine to loop them as needed. The problem is creating a natural loop by means of selecting the start and end of the waveform prior converting to program. What I do is select similar shaped portions of the waveform using both vertical and horizontal zoom almost maxed out. However i can still hear a Pop sound when the sample ends and loops back.
Would you try this? I appreciate a way of creating better loops for natural waveforms. (For drums and rhythmic loops you can use online calculators in order to select the perfect sample length)
