Korg Triton Extreme won't boot, empty screen

Korg Triton Extreme does not want to boot. Only an empty screen appears.
I tried updating the firmware, but without success - it runs 5 cycles and after that it has a blank screen again.

Seems to me like the checksum never validates so it tried to do it again..
I have to update a TEX for a very long time so i don't remember if this procedure is ok as it goes...
I would suspect the flash that stores the program as the possible faulty part...
