create new pad and loop

Post by oliv73 »

Hi

I 'd like to create a new pad that will play with styles when I press the pad button (1 2 3 4) and will stop when I press the stop button .
Everything is ok for creation but my pad only play once when I press the pad button .
However there are a lot of factory pads that play continiously until we press stop button.
What parameter should I set to play until I press 'stop pad' button ?

Press RECORD--> Select RECORD/EDIT PAD --> Press OK --> Select Pad you want to edit --> Change PAD SYNC from OFF to CONTIN'D

I hope this works for you. :soundsgood

Hi

I made what you wrote but it does not work.
Probably a bug with this V3.01 NEXT version as different users experienced some problems ?

Well that's too bad... indeed I am still using OS 2.0

Have you tried setting the PAD SYNC to CONTIN'D or BEAT before you record the pad?

The 'Pad-bug' in OS NEXT caused Pads to be out of sync but they did loop. So that should not be a problem. :-k

Its not that. ”Beat” means that will play in sync with your style. The setting that you are looking for is in ”Record/edit pad/menu/pad controls”. At ”pad type” choose ”loop” instead of ”one shot”
Cheers!

Thank you, thank you
For some reason I simply could not find the answer to this.
I now see it on page 279 in the manual.

Cheers

Go to Record/ Pad/ Edit/ select the pad you programmed/press menu/press pad control tab/ under pad type, change ONE SHOT to Loop. The pad sync off (will not sync the pad with the selected style tempo) continued will sync as soon as the pad is pressed and Beat will sync at the start of the beat. Hope this helps.

Cheers
