Pedal sound on piano

Post by Kingdre »

I get a weird sound when i hold damper pedal down on grand piano. Sounds like a saxophone effect. You don`t hear it as much while playing, but if you step on the pedal by itself, while on the Piano sound you can hear it.
Has anybody else noticed this?

This noise is fairly common on modern digital pianos. It is supposed to be the sound of the dampers lifting off the strings when you press the pedal down and real pianos do in fact make this noise. If you think it is too loud you can go into sound mode and reduce the amp volume of the 2 oscillators controlling this sound and save it as a user sound. The samples will be called something like "FX Pedal On L" and "FX Pedal On R".
