Midi velocity

Post by marceys »

Hello,

I have a Kronos 2 61 keys hooked up to my Roland stage piano 700NX.

Normal midi cable and channels correct. It works all fine.

But there is a difference in te sound, when i play the Kronos it seems that the sound is more clear and a little more velocity.
I can adjust that on the stage piano, thinking a stage piano with weighted keys is assumed to play more heavily.
But than the sound is getting easily distorted.

Can someone give me some advise how where to look for a solution for this strange thing.

Thanks a lot,

Marc

Try experimenting with the Kronos MIDI in Global mode.

Convert Position
Pre-midi
Post-midi
Incoming velocity curve

Otherwise you may need to reduce the input gain for your RD on your mixer, then compensate by turning RD channel louder to match what it was before.
