OSIMO

Post by bellowsboy »

Help please. I have tried to understand Osimo and what it is for. I see pages of song titles with suggested styles and artist. Is this just a guide to songs and backings or is there something I am not grasping? I have only been with Korg since having the PA 1000 so lots to learn. Dave

Dave.

Korg World is a magazine produced by Korg UK and if you click on the link it will take you to their website.

https://korgworld.co.uk/

You will see information about an upcoming Webinar follow that link to the crowdcast web portal and you will find the previous Webinars and the last one was all about Osimo which you can watch at your leasure.

Each of the previous webinars is on different functions of the PA series.

Luke and Adam who host each live webinar are Korg UK staff, these are well worth watching and tuning in live if you can since each live event if fully interactive.

To my mind the Osimo set is the Original songbook which has had the song titles corrected.
The songs have been put into setlist catagories.

There are also Setlists created by the Korg Team, with registrations that they have created, which you can store and use in your own songs or use as a starting point for your own creations.

i watched wednesdays webinar, all about the songbook editor..very well done and interesting, and towards the end ,maybe the last 2 minutes the hosts adam and luke mention that the osimo download for pa 4x ,pa 1000,and pa 700 will be going live the next day on the 16th..i was quite excited ,so naturally on the thursday i looked on the korg website on the downloads section...but no mention of any osimo update,so either adam and luke got their info wrong,or more likely korg pulled it for some reason...oh well maybe next week

You are right, finding what you seek on a Korg website is very much on a pot luck basis.
