Metronome

Post by dannyrichardson »

Hi everyone,

I am a classical pianist looking for a nice metronome to use during practice while I'm at home.

I want something that's nice and going to last and I don't care much about the price.

I was thinking about trying out the Korg KDM3 as I like Korg products and I found this resource that suggests it's pretty great.

Thanks!

Why not just use an app for it? There's hundreds available and they're pretty good.

That said , if you want the hardware, it's hard to beat the Wittner. Been around forever.

This guide is really informative which you have shared in the post. These prices are costly little bit for me.

Somebody mentioned already that it's better to use just an ordinary android app for that purpose and I agree with it. I mean that if they made the guitar tuna app there is definitely should be metronome apps. So you should just browse the google store.

Don't get me wrong, I like Korg products as well. But unfortunately when I tried their metronome - it was just an annoying BEEP over and over and not a nice clacking noise. It was so distracting, so I gave it to a friend after a while.
Another online order (from Yamaha) was a complete fail as well.
So just a piece of advice, make sure you listen to it before you buy it! I just assumed all metronomes had nice soothing clacks... I've never been so wrong before.
