Who wants to make $50 to help upgrade Kronos?
I downloaded the KRS-07 Sound Pack 3.0 and the copied it onto my Kronos running v.3.1.2 and cannot figure out how to "install" the stuff so that it plays. I'm getting messages on the screen of the keyboard that are different from what the PDF's that accompany the upgrade are saying. It's driving me nuts but I'm too lazy to pack the keyboard up and haul it into an authorized Korg dealer.
If there's anyone on here that would be willing to get on a phone call to help walk me through this I would be happy to paypal or venmo $50 for the help. Maybe that's kinda cheap, but seems reasonable for about 30 minutes of help.
Please let me know if you're able to help.

First tell us which version of Kronos you have?
If it's K2, did you download and install the package available for it?
If it is the K1 / X voxe bought the package of sounds for it?

Case is clear , you have given instructions manual of how to install it !mrvegas wrote:As I said, I bought the KRS-07 Sound Pack 3.0 and loaded it onto the Kronos but cannot figure out how to install it.
Briefly :
- Unrar installer "here" , copy folder in a thumb drive , place it at Kronos rear USB port , from Media/Load open that folder and click and load installer.
- Open Media/HD/Sound Pack , select and load contained PCG file.
- Go to Global/Auto-Load , press ADD , browse for HD/Sound Pack , click on existing KSC file and press ADD.
- Do auto load now TAB and done.
Possible issues , if you own factory Kronos 1 that has only 2Gb of Ram (1 for user's samples) then K2 soundpack samples do not fit in your free Ram
and also factory SSD of 28GB will be pushed to it's limits , so you need expansion Ram Kit of 3 GB and an extra internal SSD in secondary motherboard sata port.

a) d/l'd the free KRS07
or
b] purchased the "New KRONOS Sound Pack"
from the Korg Shop
Actually, things are beginning to fall in place. I purchased the KRS-07 Sound Pack which says it includes (a) EXS17 Berlin Piano; (b) EXS-18 EXs Collections.
So I copied the download onto a USB drive and plugged it into the Kronos. I was able to load and install the Berlin Grand but when I try to load the data for EXS-18 I don't see the EXS-18 data anywhere.

EXS 18 are Korg's additional brass sounds. If you look at your PDF doc you will find a Program list of new brass sounds.mrvegas wrote:Actually, things are beginning to fall in place. I purchased the KRS-07 Sound Pack which says it includes (a) EXS17 Berlin Piano; (b) EXS-18 EXs Collections.

Compare those new brass programs to what's on your Kronos.
Are they there ? Process makes sense ?
