Playing from usb

Post by Chitchat »

Hi again, I downloaded some tracks from Karaoke Variety to a USB stick, but can’t get them to play. I see them on the screen, press select, but no go. Any ideas would be appreciated. Please assume a very basic knowledge of the inner workings of the pa4x 😳

Sorry, but can I first confirm that the files are all ".KAR" files and that you are in SONG PLAY mode....

After you select one it should show up in the PLAYER display area (1 or 2) ready for you to press play button (for player 1 or 2).

Can you please explain what you are doing in detail so we can help (hopefully)

Cheers

sorry for delay in replying, been away. I have some tracks on a USB. I select Song Play, plug in USB. I select Sequencer 1. It shows the songs. I tap one,it goes yellow. After that nothing happens, if I tap select, play, play all, it just goes back to thepa4x screen. Any ideas, many thanks for your patience.
The files are MP3.

...OK but the selected MP3 should show in the player 1 section (top left on screen) - are you pressing the physical PLAY button after that?
Also make sure the PLAYER1/2 mixer slider is positioned correctly.

Well, I have the list of mp3’s. I touch one, goes yellow. At the top right is a down arrow, but justsays export song lis, show number, create new folder, nothing about play. At the bottom is open, close, locate, select. If I click select, it goes to default pix screen. At the top in blue is Player 1, song selection, but it doesn’t seem to select the song.fader is to player one. Any ideas, sorry to be such a pain
