Use PA1000 tones in PA700

Post by chanders »

If I edit a tone on the PA1000, will I be able to use it on the PA700 or will it not work due to difference in the keyboards?

I’m asking because I see on YouTube some tones being sold for the 1000 but I don’t want to buy it and it doesn’t work with my 700

In the case of samples the Pa700 has less memory. It also depends if the edited sounds are from internal sounds as well.

Thank you very much for your reply. It did occur to me that maybe some of the samples wouldn't be available so that tone won't work. I guess it would have to be replaced with a substitute.

Do you know given the above limitation, if it would actually load on the 700?

AFAIK, the samples used for the 700 and 1000 are nearly identical, the 1000 has 1,750 sounds vs 1,700 for the 700. Should rarely be an issue, and when it is it's easy enough to use a different sound in your keyboard sets.
