Korg Electribe Emx-1 Card Format Error Smartmedia

Hi guys!
i'm having issues to load my saved *.emx files into the Emx-1.
The thing is that there's a problem with the Smartmedia card, i format it on the electribe and then i put the card in the computer to load the files then when i put the card again on the electribe it says Format Error. I know that a lot of people have the same issue but there's no answers to this. Any idea?
