padKontrol: Programming User1 - User5 for Ableton Live or KM

How do I program the User1-User5 messages so that they can actually be used sensibly on Logic Pro X or Ableton Live - such as for enabling record or starting playback, or how to get those midiCC commands to Keyboard Maestro, please?

Is there somewhere I should've looked, cos I tried going through the manual etc but just couldn't find anything about this specific view "Global Edit Window" User Messages

Are they transferrable to Ableton Live or Logic Pro X?
