I've looked at this software before, haven't quite understood the point of it! You can't hear anything! and why should you run between the korg manager and the keyboard with a usb stick?

@ Asena:

With evaluation version of Korg Pa manager V4, I can not load a set from Havian30.
I can load Havian30 sets in Korg Pa manager V3.3, selecting PA300 as the source machine.
I have a PA4X, PA700 and Havian30.
So there is no interest for me to upgrade if I can not convert sets between my keyboards.
I wrote a message on the korgpamanager forum, but it is currently broken.

EDIT:
For Havian owners, my problem was resolved with a V4 update

The style manager 'bit' of it would be of GREAT use to EK and new models EKL / i3 / XE users, as there is no facility on-board these models to manage user style files and cherry pick which individual styles you wish to load, simply loading what's in a set...end of

Problem is...non of the other features of this software package is any use to these owners ( well not as far as i am aware ) so it does seem an expensive outlay IMHO

I did mail and ask the question if the 'style manager' feature, could be made available on its own ( as it was in their 'lite' version on an earlier release ) but no, its not. They kindly said there was little up take ....so no plans

Seems a pity to me now Korg have 3 other models on the same OS lines as the EK50 that the company producing this software would not want to make this available.....as there is such a growing customer base with the EK50 and 3 other models already in the last year being released!

It is the only negative of this super entry arranger in my view, that you have a 'one hit' to load 96 user styles ...(6 x 16 STY sets ) but cant cherry pick the good and bad before or after loading within the 6 sets.

Yes, EK and i3 owners need a simple software program to change styles in the KeySets

While it may not be a show stopper for some, be aware that the pa manager requires a persistent internet connection to maintain functionality. The way things are going at present with rising data breaches and restructuring of the internet there is an increasing likelihood of connectivity being interrupted at short notice as a consequence.

Do NOT depend on software that requires a persistent connection if you workflow is dependent on such software for extended periods of time.

Hmm, Why not? All programs use some kind of protection, ILOK, Claud etc, So whats difrent?

In the end it,s a way to protect the program from illegal usage.
99% have internet connection, On Mobile or whatsoever!
Its only when you boot the KPM, not al the time.
So its not eating upp your connection anyway.

KPM does require a constant network connection not just when starting up. it also can be triggered to turn off remotely by the designers any time they do an update which is really annoying because there is no heads up prompting you to save your work.
