Monologue midi sequencer - new to the world of synths

Hello all! Great forum and i have already learned a lot by looking around.

My question is definitely a newbie question, I hope it makes sense.

I would like to find a way to program a song that will be played on my monologue. So for example arrange a bass line and have a verse - pre-chorus - chorus structure that plays on my monologue.

I looked into GarageBand but could not find a way to get it to play on the Monologue, it could only use the monologue as a controller (midi in not out).

Is there any software or hardware that can do this in a very simple way? And without having to spend too much?
