Saving and loading songs working with the sequencer

Post by William_IV »

In sequencer Mode I successfully renamed a song then saved it. I then went over to disk mode, I have very little experience with this I just decided to hit the drop down in the upper right and choose save sequence. When the file saved I noticed it gave me two folders and was wondering why it does this. One folder is pink color and it has the .sng extension the other folder is white and just has a underscore and a capitol "A" appended to my song name. Why the additional file? it seems like just more clutter to navigate through?

Next I shut down the Kronos and then restarted then I loaded the song just to prove to myself that it was still there and i could save and load a song. it worked.

Next I chose to save the song to the playlist from what i understand you can then hit start stop on the front panel sequencer buttons and the song is loaded
This worked too. My next thought was to shut down the korg and turn it back on and see if the song will then remain loaded in the playlist? I guess not... I still had to load the song but when I did it did show and did play in the playlist using the sequencer start stop buttons. Another question ..do you always have to load songs at startup what if Get a memory stick would the process still be the same?

e?
your saved song file includes an audio file.

The A bit is a korg convention to show an audio file with your midi tracks
