So I scored a pretty good deal for an MS2000R in “good shape”, 300 euros. And it is in good shape, except that when I brought it home I noticed that the switch for choosing between “line” and “mic” for the inputs is broken. It’s just loose and won’t stay in either position. I haven’t yet tried to put any external audio in, but I suspect it’s just stuck on either one option.
How big of a difference is there between the two? Is it really noticeable? Also has anyone repaired this switch, is it a pain in the ass?
Bought an MS2000R, switch for mic / line input in back panel

Hi,
The switch is a 2 times a mux (select one of 2 signals). It switches resistors for an input filter and some feedback filter for an opamp. In the end it sets the gain that will be applied to the signal.
Bye.
