Hi,
I have an Artiphone Orba which has bluetooth midi and usbc midi, I'm trying to work out a way to control a Volca FM with the Orba. I'm wondering if it's possible to do directly with either a cable/adapter or route it through an iPad but I haven't been able to do either.
Kind regards,
Matthew

You'll need a USB hub, with 2 to 3 slots, pretty cheap nowadays. They usually have them in many options with USB A B and C slots; so choose wisely for your device.
Connect it to your tablet or laptop, or wherever you use your favorite music making software.
Then you'll need a USB-to-MIDI cable. That is to connect the MIDI IN on the Volca Sample, and into the hub.
Then connect your controller into the hub as well; and configure the MIDI data within the software you are using and viola, you controlling the Sample from your controller.
As for me, I'm controlling my Sample from an Akai XR-20 drum machine. 12 pads make it convenient than 16 since two pads will not be used anyway. Get it used like new for cheap. Has MIDI IN and OUT and runs on 6 AA batteries.
