Old school "striping" an audio track with "sy

Post by optofonik »

Has anyone recorded the "sync out" signal of a Volca to an audio track in their DAW or Portastudio then sent the recorded signal out to the "sync in" of multiple Volcas?

Should work fine. I've read of people doing it with Pocket Operators and old analogue clock-sync, so shouldn't be a problem. Really all you are doing is sampling a click that audible, so use a decent sampling frequency.

There has to be people here who have done it so they can provide a bit more info on how to track-out a sampled clock pulse so you can use a track to sync with that will deliver the same tempo no matter what your daw is set to.
Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here
