Volca Modular Firmware Update Fail

Hi,

I decided to do update my Volca Modular Firmware from 1.05 to 1.08. I followed the instructions included with the updated audio firmware file. However, when I played the file, the progress bar stopped at step 12. And instead of having "Play", "Record", "Memory" and "Function" lit up to indicate a finished update or having "Memory and "Function" lit up to indicate a failed update, I saw only saw "Record", "Memory" and "Function" lit.

I decided to turn off my Volca Modular to redo the firmware update. However, once I turned it on again, no only could I get to the update section, my Volca Modular also refused to turn off, no matter how long I held down the power button.

The firmware on my Volca Modular seemed to be completely wiped out or glitched out. I tried fixing it by using the factory reset specified in the manual, but it also didn't work.

Does anyone have the same issue and know how to fix this? Thanks!
