cherub wtb-005 sustain pedal not working on korg pa800

Post by es293 »

Hey all,
Just got the sustain pedal cherub wtb-005.
The issue is that pedal sensitivity is not responding , means if I press softly half way , it behaves as if I fully pressed ,
I tried to , calibrated it , set "Keyboard Expression" and ticked the "Keyboard expression" under "keyboard control" menu
Any ideas ?

Hello,
that is no issue of pedal sensitivity, but because you're confusing something.

Your Wtb-005 is no volume/expression pedal but a footswitch / damper.

There are only two states with your foot switch/sustain pedal: switched off or on without continuous-like functions for volume, expression or similar functions.

Function of Wtb-005 is performed as long as it is pressed and hold down. If you check the polarity of the instrument the function is reversible with the polarity switch.

If you still use wtb-005 for continuous functions like "Keyboard Expression" you get Minimum (value 0) if released and Maximum (value 127) for Keyboard Expression, depending on polarity switch.
kind regards
