Korg Electribe 2 blue: late beat or "microtiming"

Post by Edu_82 »

Hi!
Is there any way to make a particular beat in the sequence to triggera bit "late"? Maybe with some FX at least?

Thanks!

Have you tried the rushbeat/laid back/oval grooves? They definitely affect timing.

Hi, well not too in depth, I though maybe there was a way to have more control on the groove by manually moving elements back/forward... if there is no way to do that I may experiment a bit more with groove presets.

But honestly I think it is not possible... maybe using 1/32 beat I can aproximate but I loss 2 bars.

Thanks!

Live play in Trigger mode is unquantized, so you can perform one part as needed.

Some modulation types (e.g. Random Level) seem to affect hits in between clock pulses from what I remember.

Let us know what you find.

Hi yhonatex, thanks for your reply.

The Electribe 2 actually does auto-quantize, unless there is a way to turn it off, but I have been using it for 3 years now and the machine always quantizes the input notes.

The modulation assigned to the volume level maybe good indeed for instruments wich I don't care about the attack, but not for percussive sounds. I will experiment with it anyway.

Thanks!
