About to finally give up on Korg Legacy authorization

Post by Ksynth »

After upgrading to Live 11 I tried to load several apps from the KLC

It comes up with a screen to reauthorize (each app one by one).

What a colossal stuff up.

I proceed to KorgID and it asks for the Locking Code which is supposed to appear when you load the app. It does not.

Then you are stuck.

This process ought to be discarded as an insult to clients.

An absolutely shocking process.

some days I spend hours fighting with technology that flat out does not work.

Yet, these co's have no problem processing my credit card. Nope, no tech problem there.

Thats my rant as I try to file my taxes using a so called service.

Roland Cloud is much the same. They change their process every now and then it seems.

I have a year's sub but gave up chasing their logins etc

I like that rental concept

Back in the days of covered wagons, it was normal for co's to ' over deliver and under promise '.

Software licensing, authorisation and anti-piracy measures are the big reason I went hardware a long time ago.

The other part being latency and the constant update and upgrade cycle.

Shame because there’s some awesome software around.
