Volca Bass MIDI limitations

Post by rogerlevy »

Kinda disappointed by the selection of CC messages. Was expecting to have full control from a sequencer, but my dreams have been dashed. Is there something I'm missing?

nope. it does record velocity into the sequencer though (as accents, just a little bit).

It’s because it’s using genuine voltage controlled pots like MS-20 or ARP Odyssey etc and thus why sweeps are perfectly smooth. Volca Keys in comparison does have a MIDI controlled filter with traditional 127 values on offer, and can be very steppy in comparison. Horses for courses :)
