Modwave Single Cycle Waveforms

Post by Echothief »

Hi, trying to import Single Cycle Waveforms specifically the JP8000 supersaw OSC as a WAV file (it plays in Serum) when I use the sample builder tool, whatever Original Key I use it always plays a few octaves down and cannot play the higher pitches. I've tried re-importing with diff Original Key pitchs (C0, C1 etc) but same happens. Is there something I'm missing. it would be great to have a SCW option of OSC waves in the Sample Builder tool for this purpose thx

If you have something that plays in Serum, it sounds like it's a Wavetable, instead of a sample. So, you'd just import that using the Editor/Librarian; see the Editor/Librarian manual for more information. Sample Builder is for Multisamples, which are a different thing entirely.

Thanks Dan, yes I'm using the Serum WT editor and dropping the SSW in there to create a Waveform WT where I can choose from some classic Analog Saw and Sqr waveforms. works a treat

One thing I noiced is the Random pitch knob in the Modwave editor doesn't appear in the KB menu system, unless its elsewhere. All the other global Pitch settings are there but not Random pitch?
