Dreaming of firmware 3.0: A feature request

Post by space_computer »

Recently got the prologue and wow, I really love the synth! It just got so much character and it really begs to be played, a very hands on synth! It really reminds me of the joy playing the Minilogue which I always regretted selling, even though I miss that awesome sequencer.

I have been dreaming about some updates though which I'm not sure would even be possible, and some may probably been requested earlier, but here goes.

More Mod Options - Even though this was never a dealbreaker for me it would be nice with
- Sequencer/Motion sequencer: It would be awesome with an added sequencer, or just a motion sequencer.
- 2nd global LFO: Shift rate and shift int with destination in the menu, and possibly a s&h waveform.
- Added delay for lfo.
- Only VCO1 for lfo destination.
- Global Aux envelope: Shift-turn the filter EG and destination in menu.
- Multible destinations for mod wheel: It would be amazing if you could have 2-4 destinations.
- More options for velocity mod destination.
- Longer attack time on envelopes!

- Range for Expression pedal: This really feels strange that you can't do, lots of destinations feels really unplayable atm.
- Turning value knob fast: It's a bit of a PITA to edit multi engine params right now, would be nice if you could accelerate values if you turn knob quickly.
- Transposing sub/main timbre option (not just entire program)
- Add dry/wet option for mod effect.

Really hoping Korg continues to bring awesome updates and support for this flagship instrument!

There will be no bigUpdate, because Prologue 16 is already discontinued.

What really? Is there a specific reason for this or is just not selling that well?

This information is incorrect, the Prologue 16 is still in their current lineup and still listed on the Korg web page....

It's no longer listed, along with Kronos and Odyssey on the new primary UK site... www.korg.co.uk

However, it *IS* still listed on www.korg.com (USA and the rest of the world)

Fwiw, there is a *rumor* the power supply doesn't meet EU regulations and can't be sold there. Why it took so long to find is a mystery to me.

Supply chain shortages would also contribute to delays resolving this.

Prolgoue REALLY needs 2X the digital engine resources. The analog part is fine for me.

If you RELLY can't stand one LFO, get a MIDI modulation app. I got a Yorick LFE. The combination is the balls.
