Korg PA3X Sequencer

Hi
I have Korg PA3X with OS version 2.0.
When I press the sequencer--record; I don't get any option but the system goes to a new song record. It doesn't give me any option to record current song or a new song?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there

Correct - the PA3X will show NEWSONG (P.173 in PA3X User Manual v110 - this is the last manual from Korg).
You can choose what to record by pressing the RECORD button whilst in SEQUENCER mode - your options (P.176) on the screen will be:-

• Multitrack Sequencer
  Full-featured sequencer. Select this option for
  classic multitrack recording.
  (See “Record mode: Multitrack Sequencer page” on page 176).
  
  Backing Sequence (Quick Record)
  Easy way of recording. Just play with Styles, and
  record your realtime performance.
  
  Step Backing Sequence
  Step-record. Edit chords and controls for the
  Style. Very useful if you are not a keyboard player.

To load an existing song that you want to perform more editing on use the Page Menu (top-right) and select "Load Song" (P.196 in PA3X User Manual)
