Feature or bug? It's baffling me!

Post by petarl »

I'm having trouble making any sense with the pad controllers, both onscreen and via MIDI hardware controller. I've allocated CC#110 through 117 on MIDI ch16 to Pads 1 - 8 on the Global external Function Assign page. I created a Combi where I'm using the pads to trigger samples.

I duplicated the patch and changed just Pad 1 to MIDI ch Gch so I could use it to play single finger chords on a piano sound while also triggering samples from another slot allocated to the same keyboard note. However, the pads are now unresponsive - both onscreen and from MIDI controller.

There's a secondary issue where pressing any of my MIDI controller buttons allocated to CC#110 - 117, changes the Chord Source Pad allocation on the OSC page.

I've uploaded a video of the problem here:

Can anyone shed any light on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks.

This is likely not the answer but I have found that my pads go unresponsive if I set the Control Assign buttons from Tone Adjust to EXT.

I use an external MIDI device for my Hammond Organ sound (iPad) and had to change the Control Assign to EXT in order to get the drawbars etc. to work. That disabled my Pads from playing internal sounds as normal.

The assignment of the Control Assign is memorized with the Combi.
