Korg won't boot up

Post by GeorgeReedRadio »

I got this message:
System cannot start due to a file system error
Please reinstall the system software

The keyboard is less than a year old and is not moved around. It worked fine yesterday.

I found some documentation online that suggests booting from the installation CDs. I did not get any CDs when I bought it (new).

I tried unsuccessfully booting from a USB.

Yesterday, I copied a backup using FTP. Now I'm wondering if I accidentally moved instead of copied the backup files.

Suggestions?

Get the three factory Accessory Discs (1, 2, 3) clicking on the URL links in the Software section and make as many images to transfer on DVDs, then install.

I’ll try that.

I’ve already tried it with the first two disks on a hard drive. No luck.

Hi there,

The Kronos can be quite picky about external drives. There are several discussions on this site about it. I copy the link for one of them below, hope this helps, keep us posted.
