Pa4x Songbook
Is there a way to get my old Songbook from pa4x into Pa5x ? I have more than 400 songs, I would hate so do it all over again..

It doesn’t load it from my convertes set.

Hi,everyone!

Yes - that would be good to know - I think this question is asked every time there's a new model....

Apparantly there might be a way to convert Songbook through the Menu button on pa5x. I think This was mentioned on a Crowdcast Tutorial. Worth a look at it anyhow...

Editing the post. Apparantly as quoted -- It will convert everything 'except' songbook is what was said on today's webinar.[Adam Whittle]

korg could just make a new songbook editor 4, for computer ..and a small app for converting pa4x styles to pa5x and it would work faster on a computer ..and the midi to styles apps.. thing korg took away.
korg had 7 years to do this ...

Hi Duby. I'm really surprised that the pa5x has been shipped and is not yet a finished product. Songbook has always been the mainstay of the korg OS and many of us have more than a thousand Registrations for the songs that we play. Many pa4x performers are not going to be happy and will have to stick with their pa4x's. This doesn't directly affect me as I'm sticking with my pa1000 but if I could upgrade to the pa5x I most certainly wouldn't do so..
Also the midi to style bot has been omitted and everything I now play is performed using my own styles created on the midi to style bot. This would mean that those styles would be unlikely to convert on pa5x.
It looks more like work in progress and will likely need many upgrades to the OS although it does have some great features. Very strange way to market a brand new model

Nice to hear from you and hope you are well….. and as far as the pa 5x it took seven years for the pa 4x to get where it’s….is. now, …,,in one upgrade pa5x …
We are back to the i3…
Pa5x sounds good and look good and I want one but … people who work singing and playing , like me , don’t want to buy a keyboard and take a year or two learning how to do this or that and waiting for more update on the os…
When I went from pa1 to pa2 to pa3 and pa4 , I could take it to a job 98% was fine but it work right out of the box )
The pa5x you can take it to jam session in your back yard , but knot to a job …
When I went from pa3x to pa4x ,, I was up and running in one day …
I think the people that get the pa5x don’t work . they just get it to play around ..and that fine ..wish I could do that..
Its like you buy a new car , and it works but it has just 3 wheels and no doors ,the radio works and it is self driving car, so now I have the new car but , I have to wait for a upgrade ,,, the four wheel ..
I think some one got fired from Yamaha and went to korg and that why the two keyboard look the same…
korg turn the pa5x in to Casio SA-76 Portable Arranger Keyboard.
Now lets see How long will the upgrades going to take
just my opinion…
I got the pa1000 for a backup for my pa4x
Both keyboards have the same styles , keyset , samples. And songbook … ( 98%) .
If you want my pa1000 copy of the pa4x ,, I can send it to you ..
I have a link on one of my post.

That’s the best summary of the PA5x I have read so far … a self driving car with only 3 wheels

.
Duby2 you are a genius
