Installing system update and the editor/librarian

"Waiting for device" with the device connected.
"Cannot install" no reason why.
"Use boot install" what is that and why?
"Rasberry PI thingamajig required" now a 3rd party mystery app is required...

And assorted other messages... [b]all of which had me on the verge of throwing the whole show through my window[/b].

I post this, not looking for help, because I did eventually get everything upgraded and installed. But I couldn't tell you how I did it.

Just needing to vent to our Korg overloards that THERE HAS TO BE A SIMPLER SOLUTION.
