What a mess I made of my last post. It was totally out of order and I would like to offer a full apology to you. It may be ok to criticise Korg at the moment but not our fellow posters like you.
I am a true Korgy with three Pas` that I dearly love. I have written about them many times here but have always supported posters that have issues. For the last few years posters far better than me have been pleading for updates to the Pa1000 and 700 and I have been supporting them. Despite the fact that I am happy with my Pa1000 and 700. Why ? Because I care about other people and feel sorry for them.
But there are ways of saying things and my choice of wording to you was not good and totally out of character. I got it wrong and sincerely apologise.
Take care
@Pete
Please remove that post of mine if you can. No more negative stuff from me again. Will focus on trying to help Pa4X, 1000 and 700 posters. And leave 5X to others because I know nothing about it. Also made myself a promise not to ever post again AFTER the pub if that makes sense.
Thanks
Hi Taichi, apology accepted. I think we’re all at our wits end with the mess Korg has caused. Just trying to make the best of a bad situation.
Had the i2 when it first came out in the 90’s, but at that stage I was a Technics tragic. When they stopped making them in early 2000, I was at a loss as to what to replace them with. Even went thru the “soft synth / software arranger “ phase for about 3 years, but nothing shone like the technics ( for me).
Rediscovered Korg with the pa800, wow, the style structure and the style creation functions were amazing. We didn’t even have have guitar mode in the early days and some of the editing functions weren’t available early days either. I think my first 1000 posts were probably written on how great the pa800 was. Haha.
You were right about one thing , I didn’t get much time to play.
I haven’t fully lost faith (yet ) in Korg, all the improvements they’ve made over the years and the models. Still wonder what brainsnap caused the release of an unfinished product.
At the moment I’m a half glass full gal, hopefully that doesn’t change.
