Using PA4x styles on PA5x.

Does anyone know if single PA4x styles can be loaded into a PA5x. I appreciate that we now have version 1.2.Os but that will only convert from a .SET file.
I have quite a large number of PA4x styles that I would like to use on the PA5x but is this even possible?

sure,

just convert your pa4x set file to a KST file and then press file, go to the converted kst file and multi select the styles you want to copy (or load the section in the kst file, if you want to add them)

You can also use them from that kst file directly by selecting them

Hi Qui, I join Tony's question
If I have a .sty file how do I put it in pa5x?
Inside a .set directory i have a folder STYLE with .sty files but are a banks of styles.
Instead, in a .kst directory I have a folder called STYLES with the individual .stg files inside a others folders User 1, User 2...

Maybe I have to rename the files and rebuild the .kst directory?

de tous les styles usine, pensant qu'ils ne seraient pas compatibles avec le pa5x quelle erreur!!

I am looking for the Piano pop style of the pa4x which was very specific for playing Don't Go Breaking My Heart by Elton john and which is not on the pax5..

I sold my pa4x without making a backup of all the factory styles, thinking that they would not be compatible with the pa5x what a mistake!!

Qui thanks for the reply but I am talking about single .STY files that are not in a SET. I have converted my sets that contain .sty but can't find how to convert or load single .STY files.

you can't convert single .STY files.

the way to do it is to create a folder called:

- PA4XSTYLES.SET
then open this folder and create a folder called:
- STYLE
- then open this folder and copy your .STY file in it

Now you can convert this PA4XSTYLES.SET to a KST file on the pa5x.

go to your computer
- create new folder (directory)
- rename that folder to PA4XSTYLES.SET

a set file is just a folder with folders and files in it.

Ok so I have successfully converted a single style. AS suggested by Qui I created a new folder on the computer with with .SET after the file name, i.e. Super.set. I then dragged the actual style file into the directory, & saved to USB stick. However this not convert on the KB so I went back to the computer & inside the Super.SET folder I created a new folder STYLE & into that folder I put the style file.

On the KB files/menu/ convert PA4x to Pa5x & after literally a few seconds it had converted the set & style file which now loads & world fine on the PA5x.

I tried but when it converts it creates another folder.
In practice if the file is called xxx.sty at the end of the conversion as a result I have name.set/Style/xxx/

Why?
