You get a 30-day no-questions-asked Money Back guarantee from Thomann if you buy anything from them.

OK - I am assuming that owners can "return" based on trade description laws i.e. the product does not perform according to its specifications.
Here, we can do that plus, under consumer laws, we get support regarding unreasonable warranty issues - e.g. if a product has a warranty for 12 months and it fails after 18 months then that would be treated as unreasonable and hence replaceable/returnable/refundable .....

Unfortunately though Pete, as you know, there are no provisions for returns dues to "change of mind" that they seem to have in Europe and the US.

All reliant on a retailers "good will"

As far as I know, no other retailer except Thomann in Germany and Adorama in the USA, has this return policy:

Thomann:
30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Our promise
So you thought a particular product was the right one for you, and then you discover it's not. Well, that's life.

But no problem! We grant a hassle-free 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee on any item you buy at Thomann.

Exceptions
Only exceptions are products specially made or modified for you (e. g. custom cases), items that are subject to wear and tear or products that cannot be taken back due to regulations of hygiene (e.g. used reeds for woodwinds) or licensing (e. g. already registered software).

If you are not 100 per cent happy with an item you ordered from Thomann, get in touch with us and we'll inititate the return. Within the EU, Switzerland, the UK and Norway, Thomann will assume the cost of return deliveries.

How does this work?
Please select the function "return item" in your customer centre. You'll receive all information necessary for returning your item.
Of course we still receive return wishes via E-Mail or telephone.
Please ensure that all products are returned in their original packaging, with all components and accessories and without signs of use.
These conditions apply for our Money-Back Guarantee. Conditions for the legal right of revocation as well as our warranty service can be found in our Terms and Conditions.

Detailed information on the return process can be found here.

Adorama:

International returns, please mark the item as "VENDOR RETURN" to avoid duties and customs.
Refund Policy
Please allow 3-5 business days from when we receive your return to process your refund. You will be notified by email once your return is processed. Adorama reserves the right to refuse return, refund and/or charge a restocking fee for any product that doesn’t comply with the above mentioned requirements.

30 Day Return Policy.
For the first 30 days after your purchase you may return merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges.

Returned or exchanged products must be in brand new, mint condition, and have all original manufacturer's packaging, materials, and accessories, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, and blank warranty cards.

Please remove all unnecessary pre-existing labels from the box.

Merchandise missing the original Universal Product Code (UPC) cannot be returned. The original manufacturer's labeled packaging should be enclosed within an outer shipping box. Please do not write or place shipping labels or stickers on the manufacturer's packaging.

If a product is received defective or incorrect, please please submit an online return request or contact us immediately and we will do whatever possible to resolve the issue. We will only cover return shipping if we are notified prior to return.

Non returnable items
Following items cannot be returned once opened

Software, Film, Paper, DVDs, Bulbs, flash tubes, Batteries, Ink cartridges, Notebooks, Netbooks, Tablets, iPads and Computers, Memory cards, any item which has been removed from its "blister-pack".

Printers cannot be returned once toner has been installed.

Underwater equipment cannot be returned once it has been used in water

Oversize Return Policy
Oversize items that are required to ship via truck, are returnable pending they meet our standard return requirements. Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the customer. Once shipped, if a package is refused, the return ship fees will be deducted from the refund total.

If an oversize item shipped directly from the manufacturer, it will need to be returned to their location. Please contact us prior to return and we will assist getting the return set up.

Genos

Yamko wrote:Hello,
I have the Pa5x 76 together with my almost 5 year old Genos.
The korg has some very good things that genos doesn't have at the moment, but genos has been on the market for almost 5 years.
But if I have to choose it will still be Genos for me!
Yamaha still wins on almost all points, the only major flaw is the exterior finish (materials).
The big downsides of the Pa5 are the sometimes sloppy finished styles for example: like brutal cut endings, many sounds that are not as good as Genos!! The software also leaves much to be desired.
Genos is much more reliable than the Pa5x.
My genos still works perfectly without any problems and still does what it is supposed to do.
Now that the successor to Genos is very likely to appear soon, I would wait a little longer.
Yamaha will simply blow the competition away, they have the necessary people and capacity for that!!
Well lets hope they get rid of the Fischer Price keyboard. its like an old Bontempi from Woolworths
