Missing/Blanked out Keyboard Sets?

I'm certain there were more the other day....Seems a random issue....

I have a Roland Jupiter X above on the second tier which has a Roland Cloud Bluetooth dongle in....Also my Mobile is probally 2 meters away?

Thanks for the input...ive added nothing to the Keyboard neither has the Dealer...I picked it up Factory Sealed....The only thing ive done is Update to the latest Firmware....

when you press an empty upper 1 sound, where does it point to? (which location?)[/quote

It just brings up the factory piano category for any empty slot be it upper 1 2 or 3

Hi there all...As anyone noticed Missing/Blanked out keyboard Sets since the latest firmware?
Especially in the Rock section....

I did not find any missing Kbd Sets. Any pointers on how to reproduce the issue will be appreciated.

For example Select Up Tempo Rock....Have the Keys View on the Screen....Upper 2 & 3 are missing.....
Strangely the other missing upper 1'2'3 have now appeared again on other Styles....So it seems i'm having random missing sounds on Styles on the Upper 1,2 & 3's.....
I'm now begining to think its more than a Software issue.....
Damn...The Dealer who i purchased it from has the exact same issue on there Instore model and they hadn't noticed it before i rang them....I ringing them next week as they are reaching out to Korg for Info/Answer....

I've just checked it, it's indeed empty for those mentioned upper 2 and 3.

Also the straight rock upper 1 and 2 are missing for keyboard set 4.

I have no idea if this was the case in os 1.10, but It's indeed not complete for these mentioned keyboard sets.

It's of course very easy to solve yourself, but indeed it should be filled by korg eventually.

Thanks for Checking...at least i know its Defo a firmware issue not Hardware....Quite annoying but like you say i'm sure Korg will fix whilst breaking other things ha ha....It Defo wasn't a problem in the last firm ware...

Okay, I did the test yesterday night and I did not find any missing Keyboard sets.

I selected the Rock style you stated, and I had all the default instruments and keyboard sets lined up properly, with no missing instruments or keyboard sets. I did try other styles from Rock, Ballad, Funk and other genres and all the keyboard sets are available from the factory.

Some of the instruments are grayed out, but that is because the style does not activate them by default. So when I selected the Upper 2 (using the button), the gray instrument got activated.

After update , did you made factory restore function as noted in update manual ?

I never...i just installed the new firmware as i did with the previous....
I just spoke to the Dealer i bought it from and as ive mentioned previous there's is exactly the same....They have just rolled back out of interest to the previous Firmware and that has fixed the issue but obviously i presume lost the new Fixes/Updates etc etc....
So long as were understanding each other correctly its all very strange....
The Dealer has reached out to Korg but still awaiting a response....
I think it will probally be a next Firmware update thing hopefully....

It also contains factory resources with modified Sounds , Styles & KBD Sets.

- Save your current user resources in a KST folder.
- Reload OS v1.2
- Make a factory restore
- Reload your KST resources

Now check back your factory Rock Styles.

Thanks for the help....First off this is my First ever Korg so its all very new...well except for a PA800 i had for a week back when it came out...
I've saved nothing or created nothing since day 1 back in last December when i got the 5x....So everything is as Stock shall we say....Just pick Styles use the Keyboard sets and play ....
So when i loaded 1.10 in no problems.....
Load 1.20 problem....
Ive since reloaded 1.20 then a Factory Restore and still the issue remains...
Ive not made a user kst folder as i had nothing i needed to save?
As mentioned earlier i did exactly the same with 1.10 and no issue...
Maybe i'm not getting it and apologies but some are saying the same as me including my Dealer and others not....
But as a total Noob its very possible i'm doing/done something wrong/just not getting it....

Also QuiRobinez is confirming the same exact issue as me and he knows a 1000times more than i will ever know just like yourself....
Its becoming really frustrating....i'm second guessing myself now....is it my user error or Korg errors....

Thats sometimes the problem with new users............
they blame themselves,thinking its there fault

when all along it was a faulty product.........
i thought that too...............untill i saw 4 pages of error reports on this forum
thats why i got a full refund on the famous pa5x88

I wasn't gonna put up with it any longer.
