Ok But what i'm asking is as follows
they're gonna say

Why do you wanna return it ?

Black spots on buttons? we can fix that for you?

I guess my question is what ground do i stand on when it comes to return and asking korg for refund?

I understand they might want to offer fixing it but seriously, aside from the LED issue, it doesn't meet its specifications - here in Oz, it would fall under a violation of "trade descriptions" - a strong case for refund/replacement.
I would be pushing in that direction - from others' comments here it seems there are no spare parts right now in USA :?

However, if you really like it and want to keep it but want it fixed, then see what they say - try and get a replacement perhaps....

Good luck with it...

Once again that's just my opinion do you think tell me I like to hear it.
You're right we are bored waiting.
Let's stay positive: I am quite confident that a comprehensive update will arrive very soon!

Honestly, I don't quite grasp some people's concerns. If you truly depend on your sole arranger keyboard for professional purposes, why would you upgrade to the Pa5x without thorough research? Of course, you should stick with the Pa4x until all issues are resolved! If you bought the Pa5x without proper research, or in the hope that an OS update would happen within a month or two... well, that was rather unwise, and I feel I must say that.

If you're just a hobbyist like me, doing this for fun, then you should just relax and wait. I am happy with the Pa5x as it is. Even if Korg stops releasing any OS updates – though it would be a shame – I was prepared for that possibility when I made the purchase!

:)

When you bought KORG products like me i30,pa80,pa1x,2x,3x,4x which all had the proper style creation mode and tools. You would expect it that to be available in 5x especially when they advertise the ability to create USER STYLES
The way it is now is simply not practical or logical. Very user UNFRIENDLY.
I have to agree here. I am now focusing my time on converting Yamaha styles to PA5X styles using Qui's secrete formula. While he uses Cubase, I have opted with BandLabs' free version of Cakewalk to do the same thing. It has been a huge amount of trial and error. The main reason for this is the lack of error reporting on the PA5X side when trying to import the MIDI. Well let me say, there is NO error reporting. If you select a MIDI file that is not supported or if the tracks are not in the correct sequence it does not allow you to execute the process. No error message - file is in wrong format or file is of type 1 or anything. There is just nothing.

PS. My background is ERP systems and software development and for an interface to be released like this as a finished product is just unprofessional.

The style editing also needs a lot of work. You can only edit one thing at a time and when you play the style as a preview, nothing can be edited. It is clunky and needs a ton of work. Also there is no reference back to the midi name that you just imported so when you go to save the style as a final product you have no idea what the original name was in the style edit and save screens.

Not necessarily so I'm afraid...

The announcement in the video about Korg's Italy team members moving to Ketron at COVID time and now back with Korg seems to be yet another frustrating and irritating rumour.

In all seriousness there is no news at all regarding updates or PA5x future - the continuing unconfirmed, unofficial rumours are simply irritating.
Some write let's stay positive .... well if over 2 years ago Korg said to us "...hey, enjoy your PA5x - it's not fully functional yet and has several bugs but stay positive and be patient for 2.5 years and keep watching the Korg "News" on our websites for updates...", would you have bought it???? .... Well, they didn't even say that or anything else since, so I'm afraid "being positive" has worn very very thin now, if not, disappeared.

I respect that some reliable and trustworthy members genuinely believe they have the answers but none of them ever confirm sources so in my case, I can only sensibly treat them as just more rumours.
So far, all the "promised rumours' dates" have failed. Whilst July 4th OS update may happen, no-one as yet has revealed sources and shouldn't really expect others to take it seriously.

I mean no offence to anybody - for me, I simply apply basic logic to all of this - I sincerely hope that all PA5x's owners are soon relieved with some real updates and results, and who knows, maybe some communication from Korg.....

If and when that happens, I will revisit my dormant excitement about this keyboard.

Stay well and play lots of music

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Does anyone know what's Jürgen's Sartorius latest comments about the subject? For those who might not know, Jürgen was deeply involved in developing content for the PA-5X Musikant. I remember about a year ago, as the Musikant was nearing its release, Jürgen was the go-to guy for some inside scoops. While KORG kept things pretty under wraps, he hinted that a new operating system was on the horizon and even mentioned that the launch would happen very soon. I'm curious if anyone from our German-speaking friends might have some updates or any new tidbits from him. Looking forward to your responses!
Please remember, even if Ukraine is far from you, it's fighting for you now! The outcome affects your future. So, support Ukraine! By any means, or simply by raising your voice. Every bit helps. Stand with Ukraine! We all do.
