Expression pedal

Post by J2024 »

What expression/volume pedal would you recommend is best for the KORG Pa5x? I’m reading that the KORG exp2 comes across as too light and plastic and not as robust against a Yamaha f7 pedal which weighs 680g?

Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

I am using the Yamaha FC7, which works well and has a nice large footprint.

PA5x calibration also works fine with this pedal, I have x4 in total under my rig, covering other duties with other keyboards.

After trying a few other pedal over the years, this is my preferred choice. :)

Thank you for that. I thought as much. I actually have a Yamaha f7 connected to my Yamaha Genos, but need to keep that connected. I’ll no doubt go for another f7 for the KORG. Appreciate your input.

I'm using an MGEAR FC-7 Clone and works perfectly with the Pa5x.

I use the Korg EXP-2 with my PA5X... I just find it a little sensitive, so only use it for large dynamic swells these days, and when I want minor dynamic adjustments, I just use the master volume.
