A concept other manufacturers should take notice of...

Having a 3rd opinion like this in the Event line-up can only be good for business, I think this will be a popular for many reasons Ketron has clearly thought about.

I think this contraption would be a terrific asset for any Korg player, in particular those gigging and wanting to sound like a real band... I would not hold my breath though as far as the price is concerned. My bet would be closer to 3000 Euros than anything lower than that....
Were they to sell it for 1999 euros they would be selling like hotcakes imho.

I emailed AJ, the Ketron distributor in the USA, and he says he does not know the price but suspects/guesses that it will be around $2799 and likely available in March 2024.

I support the idea that, sooner or later, arrangers will be entirely software-based. Perhaps, for now, an iPad with M3 may not be powerful enough, but eventually, we will see an 'Event Emulator' or a 'Pa5X Emulator' in a single app, and everyone will be free to use their preferred master keyboard. The Ketron Event Module is a small step towards achieving this goal.

i'm glad that he is happy with his event, but i have a totally different opinion then him :)

i've tried the keytron event in a dutch store for quite some time and for me it's not really the keyboard i would be happy with. It's not a bad keyboard by any means, but the styles don't appeal to me, and most important, i found it flat sounding without dynamics. I know that you can easely solve this with outboard gear, but for me that was a major breakpoint in going for the event.

But everyone should buy the keyboard that he likes the most. There is no good or bad, it's all a matter of subjective opinions.

As an event woner (module) i can only say that event adds a lot to my Genos, combining style parts from both .. i use my Kronos tough to controll both..

I guess, the event Module can do the same for pa4x owners…

I have seen the price in the US listed as $2999 USD.

Quite pricey for a module with no controls. Looks like they are trying to recoup design and engineering costs.

Unless it’s Functions are or can be mapped precisely to the existing hardware buttons on my PA4X, then this is of no practical use to me.

The last thing I want is in a live situation to be struggling with an iPad screen whilst trying to play in real time. Imagine trying to alter the volumes of individual instruments in a style by touching the screen. It’s just impractical.
