I have my global split point set to D#4. I recently purchased Global Sound Platinum Edition and split points on all the styles are F#3. How do I get the PA4x to pick up the global split point and ignore the split point in the styles which came with the Platinum Edition. Any ideas?

The global split point is both the general setting you use when there is no
‘local’ split, and a ‘template’ from which to start setting the various local split
points saved into the Keyboard Sets. You can change it and use it as the main
split point of the instrument. Some Keyboard Sets might override the global
split point with their memorized local split points.

Split point of a keyboard set (not of a style)
In addition to pete's posting:Rosco_Australia wrote: .. ignore the split point in the styles ...
The parameter "Split point" is memorized individual and separate for each keyboard set (not for a style !).
Unfortunately, it is a mistake to believe that a style setting is a style. This becomes clear when a style is used in a songbook entry with a completely different setting, and quite different from settings memorized in the factory style bank - and means that each of the four keyboard sets of a style setting can have up to four different SplitPoints.
Settings as parameters of keyboard sets therefore cannot be adopted automatically as parameters of another keyboard set and so the split points saved in Global Sounds edition can only be changed manually in its keyboard sets (maybe a particular split point for a particular Sound set of a style).
kind regards

Global Split (template)
In any case, this works with the "Platinum Edition", if all split points of the STS are saved with "Global Split". This can also be assumed, so in this case my information was incorrect (sorry about!) and not even a single one of your keyboard set has to be changed manually, but rather each keyboard set uses the respective "global split" as described by korg1.korg1 wrote: .. press GLOBAL--->MODE PREFERENCES ,and set the split at any key you want and you are set.....Now all your STS will have their global key at the one you set before ...
However, as soon as an STS with a "local split" has been saved, changing the "global split" does not change anything and does not ignore existing split points. That is, because global split does not overwrite any keyboard set (STS), but only the "global template" used for global splits.
Global split can be used as main split point of the instrument, but is not taken into account, if a local split point is memorized in a keyboard set .

For LOADing procedures it is to be taken into account that the "Global" parameter in the Preferences/Media is set to "Protected" in order not to accidentally overwrite the last setting of "Global Split" with another value!
Apparently the set from "Platinum Edition" contains a global file with Global Split Fis3. Your previous Split Dis3 was overwritten during the LOAD.
It was Fis3 in the global file of Platinum Edition and the missing "Protect" of "Global" in your Media preferences, that caused caused the split point you didn't like to use.
kind regards
