PA1000 Successor?

Post by Shawn »

Has anyone heard if there will be a baby-5X, a successor to PA1000 soon?
Thanks

.. that hardly is to imagine and it would not be an incentive to buy such a baby in order to possibly receive the news and features advertised with it. Based on the experience with Korg's upgrade in the mid-range area, most of the news are to be expected modest, hardly useful or new.

The Pa1000 technically is not outdated, so it would be more important to finally provide an OS update, because updates like those given to the Pa4x with OS-next have been missing for this model since its release.

It's shameful for Korg that not even the errors complained about since the initial delivery were fixed - such as the "Style to KbdSet" function, which is unusable with the songbook and and only quickly was compensated for with "Lock Keyboard Sets" in the Pa4x.
kind regards

I'm still hoping though getting weaker and weaker that we will finally get an update to the PA1000 :/

I have the same feeling too. Judging by Korg's activities, there is obviously no willingness to continue to be active in the arranger keyboard market segment - hopefully I'm wrong!

No one from the producer Korg comments on this - that's strange!!

I'd be very interesting in a MicroArranger II. A MicroArranger XL? Something like that.

Even if a sort of Pa700 clone, it would be a wonderful thing.
