X50 arpegiator

Having problems with the arpegiator on my x50.

I bought it secondhand a week ago, and whereas I’m finding programing user arpeggios reasonably easy, I have one slight snag. If I have the arpegiator latched and I’m playing on another voice further up the keyboard on a split as soon as I play a note on the non arpegiated part of the keyboard the arpeggio stops playing unless I am holding down the note or chord triggering the arpeggio pattern with my left hand.

If I release my left hand without playing on the upper split(s) the arpeggio loops fine, but as soon as I play a note without my hand being on the arpeggio split, the arpeggio will stop.

Does anyone have any suggestions

This only happens with user arpeggio patterns, not the preset ones.
