Kudos to Qui Robinez for his tutorial on creating a felt piano on the PA5X.
I'm just curious though..
Isn't there a way to modify the built-in Cinematic Grand to do the same thing by simply eliminating the pad overlays, but still keeping the damper and pedal sound effects? For me this would be a more realistic sound if it can be done.
Regards,
Leland

I honestly didn't think about trying that ... was looking through the upper 1,2,3 which had no effect .. will look at the oscillators.
And YES ... Qui's tutorials are AWESOME !

Yup that was it ! The oscillators 1 and 2 first effect (marked as left) with reverse reverb was adding the pads. Moved those down to -inf gain and the sound is perfect.
Thanks !

Nice to hear it worked out well for you. Korg’s sound structure can be a bit confusing. A keyboard set can consist of three upper sounds and (with split activated) a Lower sound. But a sound itself can consist of many many oscillators, each oscillator containing a sound, effects, adsr etcetera. I’m not very good in programming these oscillators, it’s quite a specialist job I guess.
