PA800 Nightmare
I bought a PA800 and it won't boot up . We wiped the memory then tried downloading a new OS ..followed all Korg Instructions but , it will not upload. I was told the Motherboard could be bad. I have no idea what this will cost to fix or if it's even worth fixing since , I've seen others with the same issue. Have any of you heard if this is really common ? Maybe the Power supply has issues and is burning out the MB ? I'd hate to install a new MB and have it get fried as well. I also tried looking for a replacement Mother Board but , can't even find one. Could this be the reason Korg stopped making the PA800's and they are all flawed ? Did Korg ever recall these ? I always trusted Korg (bought my first one back in 1973 and still have it !!) so I'd hate to think they'd leave a flawed product out there ....just frustrated and not sure what to do at this point. Any ideas would be appreciated ..Thanks --Mike

Thanks Mike , I'll keep checking Ebay but , I'm still worried and kinda don't trust it now. If this Motherboard problem is common with the 800's , will it happen again ? Did anyone ever find out what causes this ? ....wish there was a way to buy a Motherboard that's been redesigned and dependable
