Karma controlled by external keyboard

Post by karmathanever »

Help please...

I want to drive my Karma from another (external) 76-key keyboard via MIDI.

Is there a channel/config setting I can use such that my external keyboard will basically turn my Karma into a 76 key? I'm not bothered about anything more than keys.

Many thanks

Pete 🙏

Hmmmmm…

Not certain what you are stuck on…but I generally use an 88key controller thru midi, as my go to key-bed for all my synths. Including the og Karma. All octaves are played without changing anything on the og Karma workstation. Essentially driving the og Karma as if a rack unit like the Triton Rack which is also Karma enabled with KL software…

Set the midi out channel of the “controller” to 1 (karma global) and the Karma receive as channel 1 (global). And there you go… Any prog of combi should now be triggered by the external keys - 88 or 76 or even just 25…

If you want to “extended” the range of the Karma keybed, i think Stephen adresses this here:
